BIOGRAPHY

Born in Burgos, Spain, Álvar Nahuel began his artistic journey at the age of eight through breakdance and hip-hop. At eleven, he started his professional training in contemporary dance at the 'Ana Laguna Professional Dance School' in Burgos. During his six years of study, he took part in numerous creative processes alongside renowned artists and companies, including Pau Aran Gimeno (Nebulosa), Poliana Lima (Infinite Body), Kor'sia (Slow Motion), Natalia Fernandes (Ruined Body), Sharon Fridman (Cycle), Janet Novas (Rags), and Danae & Dionysios (War Never Came).

At the age of eighteen, he began his professional career touring across Europe with Kor'sia, performing in "Giselle" (2021), followed by "Igra", of which he was a cast member from 2021 to 2023.
At twenty-two, he worked as an actor, dancer, and choreographer in the theatre production "Memorias de Adriano", which premiered in August 2025 at the 'Festival Internacional de Teatro Clásico de Mérida'.
He portrayed Antinoo and received the award for Best Choreographic Creation and Performance at the 2025 'Sagunt a Escena Festival'. The production achieved national recognition and was nominated for three Talía Awards: Best Original Score, Best Classical Theatre Production, and Best Leading Actor for Lluís Homar.
He also collaborated with La Joven Compañía de Castilla y León in 2021 and 2023, performing in "Miradas en Blanco"(2021 and 20203) and "Pasajes" (2023). In 2023, he joined Cidanz Producciones – Ballet Contemporáneo de Burgos as a dancer and performer in "Soy como un árbol".

He is currently preparing to begin a degree in Choreography at the 'María de Ávila Higher Conservatory of Dance' in Madrid. (2026-27)

He has performed at corporate and cultural events for brands including New Holland, Dom Pérignon, and Schwarzkopf.
In 2022, he performed under the direction of Poliana Lima at the 'Madrid Choreographic Competition' with the piece "Infinite Body".

He is the co-director of "KISS".
"KISS-Nosce te ipsum is a performance that explores the reality of our times: a generation trapped in defeatism that has lost its right to fight for a better future—not because such a future does not exist, but because it no longer believes it is possible. Perhaps because we have been taught not to believe in it."

The choreography was created by Álvar Nahuel and the dramaturgy by Sara López Lazcano, who also perform the work. The piece has been presented in two showcases: at the 2024 'Teatracciones Festival' at Espacio Tangente (Burgos) and at the 2024 'Guardo en Danza Festival' (Guardo, Palencia).

Today, Álvar continues to deepen his artistic practice by training with internationally recognised artists including Humanhood, Blenard Azizaj, Roy Assaf, Máté Mészáros, Chey Jurado, Elías Aguirre Imbernon, Nicolás Ricchini, Jason Jacob Adam, Nuria Jiménez, Nadine Gerspacher, Giovanni Gava Leonarduzzi, and Daniel Abreu.

He was awarded First Prize for Best Choreography and Breakthrough Dancer in the Absolute Pre-Professional category at the 2024 'Orbe National Competition'. In 2025, he received the awards for Best Performance and Breakthrough Dancer  in the same category.

Álvar Nahuel currently teaches Contemporary Dance and Yoga at AMGuDance in Guardo (Palencia, Spain).
